Civil Peace Service Partners Event in Freetown on the 21.09.2022

As part of this year’s celebration of International Peace Day on 21. September, WAVES-SL, AGIAMONDO partners, and Bread for the world partners held a panel discussion on peace building with stakeholders in Freetown@ City Council Auditorium.

It was a wonderful conversation; such that the panelists took the audience through understanding the present state of affairs on the country’s peace, the triggers of violence and the role of every Sierra Leonean to stop election violence and build peace.
Certainly, worthy lessons were learnt.
International Day of Peace is observed every year on September 21 to spread the message against war and violence. Peace Day which is sanctioned by the United Nations is dedicated to world peace and particularly to the absence of war and violence. International Day of Peace 2022, which is being celebrated today, was first observed in 1981 and since then has been kept by many nations.
“Stop Election Violence, Build Peace”.
