WAVES-SL in collaboration with Action Medeor/BMZ project In a bit to enhance the mentoring skills of mentors and to ensure an effective and smooth running and effective facilitation of the eight safe spaces, and also to re-deepen the knowledge of these mentors ,WAVES -SL thereby With support from action medeor / BMZ project with its project title “ Prevention of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM/C ) in Sierra Leone , held a two day refresher training for 16 mentors from WAVES operational communities ( Benduma, Ngalu, NJala Kendima and Barlie in Bagbwe Chiefdom ) and Jaiama in Nyawa Lenga chiefdom respectively.
However, the distributions of eight protected smartphones with all necessary accessories including eight power banks in the presence of the town and section chiefs formed part of the pinnacle of the two days refresher training
. The team further broadened mentors’ knowledge on the safe uses of these phones. The phones are meant to easy their work, and it should be used for the said purpose
Mentors joyfully and thankfully received their most recent Infinix Smartphones alongside a power bank.
