How We Work

WAVES aims to create systemic change for women and girls in Sierra Leone. We leverage the insights from our hands-on services and projects in order to elevate the voices of women and girls to national and international platforms, in turn creating change for generations of Sierra Leonean girls to come.

At a national level, we listen to and work in close partnership with women and girls, and the whole community and governmental system to empower and support human rights fulfilment. Our work is informed by the services we deliver, and we strive to effectively respond to the current situation for women and girls in Sierra Leone.

Internationally, we engage with others and exchange evidence and best practices to bring about awareness and action for global women rights, and a reduction of violence against women and girls.
