WAVES-SL, as a partner of the WAGE Consortium, participated in a two-day Annual Review Meeting held in Makeni, bringing together project teams from Bo, Karene, and Falaba Districts. The review focused on assessing the overall performance and impact of the WAGE Project and identifying strategies for strengthening implementation in the country at large.

Key discussions covered the WAGE program overview, progress made across implementation districts, and a review of financial performance and accountability. Participants highlighted significant achievements, including increased participation of women and girls in literacy, leadership, livelihoods, and community decision-making processes. The meeting also examined documentation challenges affecting reporting and knowledge management, while capturing lessons learned to improve future interventions.

Furthermore, sessions explored program sustainability measures, risk analysis and mitigation strategies, and approaches for enhancing the inclusion of vulnerable groups, particularly women, girls, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized populations. The Monitoring and Evaluation component was reviewed to strengthen data collection, reporting quality, outcome tracking, and evidence-based decision-making.

The meeting concluded with actionable recommendations aimed at improving program effectiveness, sustainability, accountability, and the long-term impact of WAGE interventions across Bo, Karene, and Falaba Districts.
