WAVES-SL is more than a learning-oriented organization than you can imagine.

Hello from WAVES-SL 👋

Today July 12, and tomorrow, July 13, 2022, we are holding a two-day topical,  enlightening, fascinating, and participatory discussion.

A wide range of issues in the local government act 2004 will seize the agenda including gender inequality gaps, and local councils’ role in mainstreaming gender& women’s empowerment: successes, challenges, and recommendations will be discussed.

We are excited to have the MDAs, CSOs, traditional authorities,  media, political parties reps, and other partners as we share like minds and visions to review, recommend, validate, propel and ameliorate gender empowerment in our Sierra Leonean society, especially Bo.

PostScript 1: We’ll be back to give you an update from the roundtable discussion and share with you photo highlights.

P.S 2: Development and Planning Officers at both local councils in Bo and Martha Idriss Feika from MGCA are lead facilitators of the sessions.

P.S 3: The discussion is held at Caritas Hall, New Gerihun Road Bo.
